BATUGADE (24,25/11/2025)– International research team successfully organized a two-day academic debate competition earlier this week, bringing together students from ISFIT and UNWIRA. The event was held on Monday and Tuesday afternoon within the precincts of the Maria Auxiliadora Chapel in Batugade.
The primary objective of this academic competition was to elevate the students’ knowledge base and critical thinking skills. The debate topics were specifically curated to focus on three core areas:
General Academic Subjects. Biblical Studies, Common Sense and Logic
The debate featured participation from two prominent institutions, with a total of six teams competing. The teams were evenly split, with three representing ISFIT and three representing UNWIRA.
According to the event agenda, the discussion followed a two-round system, utilizing the standard debate format of Affirmative and Negative groups to argue various motions.
The results of the competition are currently being tabulated. The winners of the academic debate will be officially announced this coming Friday night. The announcement is scheduled to take place during the “Cultural Night” (Noite Cultural), as per the international research team’s agenda.
