DILI β On July 10th, 2026, Instituto Superior de Filosofia e de Teologia (ISFIT) received an official visit from UKWMS, Bishop of the Diocese of Surabaya, Mgr. Agustinus Tri Budi Utomo, who was accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at Widya Mandala Catholic University Surabaya (UKWMS), Dr. Agustinus Prastito Trinarso, Lic. Phil.
During the visit, an audience was held with the ISFIT Academic Senate, serving as a platform for both institutions to exchange insights and discuss strategic partnership opportunities in the academic field.
In his remarks, Mgr. Agustinus Tri Budi Utomo emphasized and shared vision between the two Catholic Institutions.
“UKWMS has a dedicated Faculty of Philosophy, and we are keen to build relationships between these two Institutional. Our goals are to foster mutual collaboration in areas such as research and directed independent studies involving both lecturers and students.”
The official meeting culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at ISFIT, Prof. Ligorio Borromeu, M.Fil., and the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at UKWMS, Dr. Agustinus Prastito Trinarso, Lic. Phil., witnessed by the members of the ISFIT Academic Senate.
The signed agreement establishes a formal framework for cooperation based on several key pillars:
- Education and Joint Learning: Implementing joint academic programs, including directed studies for students and faculty.
- Research and Publications: Collaborating on academic research initiatives and international seminars.
- Community Service: Engaging in joint social studies and community outreach activities.
- Capacity Building: Fostering professional development, postgraduate programs for lecturers, and training modules for both university staff and students.
