Silawan (17/11/2025)-International research team from the philosophy groups ISFIT and Unwira organized a national seminar in the St. Theodorus Chapel, Silawan, Indonesia.
The seminar’s goal was to foster discussion and mutual understanding with the local community. The general theme for the seminar was “Building Bridges of Dialogue: In Illo Uno Unum” (In that One, there is Unity).
Rev. Drs. Leonardus Mali,
L.Ph., stated that “by uniting with Christ, through a bridge, we can live together across borders, in every place, united by one faith and one love. It is humankind that can form reconciliation through this bridge of dialogue, creating a common sense for the community.”
Fr. Luis emphasized: “To build that bridge, we must understand. The people of Timor must be known for their beliefs, actions, respect, and strength. These elements serve as a bridge to facilitate dialogue and understanding.”
The seminar also included group discussions between students and the community, serving as a dialogue session for the international research project.
Speakers for the national seminar were Dr. Leonardus Mali,
L.Ph. (Unwira) and Rev. Dr. Luis G. Leite, M.Fil. (ISFIT) Attendees included the local community and international research students from Unwira and ISFIT.
