Oe-Cusse – Team Research and Community Service, comprised of ISFIT and UNWIRA students organized various sports activities, including Football, Basketball, and Indoor Soccer. These activities took place on November 22, 2024.
The sports activities were part of the non-academic program during the international research period. They served as friendship sports between the students of ISFIT and UNWIRA and the community of Oe-Cusse.
Football took place at Oebau field, resulting in a 3-3 draw between the ISFIT and UNWIRA team and the SΓ£o JoΓ£o Batista Sikluli Club. Basketball and Indoor Soccer took place at the garden and sports park of Sikluli. The SΓ£o JoΓ£o Batista Sikluli Club won the basketball match against the ISFIT and UNWIRA team with a score of 66-30. In Indoor Soccer, the Santa Rosa Team defeated the ISFIT and UNWIRA team with a score of 5-4.
The friendship sports activities not only provided entertainment but also served as a platform for fostering teamwork and collaboration. Participants had the opportunity to showcase their skills and sportsmanship, building mutual respect and understanding. These events highlighted the importance of unity and cooperation, both on and off the field, and underscored the value of community engagement in strengthening social bonds. (Research Team)
