Oe-Cusse – A theology team hosted an international seminar titled “Socialization of Understanding Marriage Law through the Perspectives of Canon Law and Missiology for the community in Palaban Station, Oe-Cusse”. The event took place on November 19, 2024, at the Palaban Chapel.
The seminar featured with two distinguished speakers: Father Dr. Yohanes Subani, who presented on marriage law from the perspective of Canon Law and Father Dr. Octavianus Naif, who explored the topic through the lens of Missiology. Their discussions highlighted the theological and cultural dimensions of marriage law, emphasizing its relevance in both spiritual practice and societal context.
This event not only served as an academic discourse but also aimed to bridge gaps in the community’s understanding of marriage regulations. It underscored the importance of integrating theological teachings with pastoral missions to address real-life challenges faced by each couple and family.
The seminar was attended by members of the Palaban Station community, as well as student researchers from ISFIT and UNWIRA. Participants engaged actively in the discussions, reflecting the growing interest in connecting theology with practical implications for daily life and pastoral care.
